补偿 & 分类

ODU actively seeks to attract and retain an accomplished, diverse workforce supporting a multitude of programs engaging faculty, classified and hourly employees.

Toward this goal, the Department of 人力资源 provides consultation to managers and supervisors, recognizing that compensation plays a critical role in this process.

This site provides a variety of information to assist managers in understanding pay practices and position classification in support of their requests and needs.

The pay system for classified positions is based upon the position's role title and the state's classification system. The position's role title is based upon complexity, results and accountability stated in classified employee's official position description.

The Department of 人力资源 is responsible for conducting classification and compensation reviews of management requests for salary adjustments, 职责变更, and title changes for all AP faculty. HR, in conjunction with the Office of Institutional Equity & Diversity, reviews the EEO impact on pay practices.

The pay system for hourly positions is based upon the position's role title and the state's classification system. The position's role title is based upon complexity, results and accountability stated in hourly employee's official position description. Hourly employees may obtain a copy of their position description from their supervisor or 人力资源.
